Of the 9,363 people living in Dayton in 2019, 49.1 percent (4,594) were women and 50.9 percent (4,769) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Eagle Valley Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 2,869-to-2,848. In the 65 and over age range, there were 878 females and 827 males.
