The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a grand larceny that took place at the Walmart located at 1511 Grant Ave. in Gardnerville, Nevada. According to authorities, on December 19, 2025, two unidentified adult women filled two shopping carts with merchandise totaling $1,212.95.

Two days later, on December 21, one of the women—described as wearing a pink shirt and red zip-up jacket—returned to the same Walmart accompanied by an unidentified adult man. The pair attempted to leave the store with another cart full of goods but abandoned it after being unable to exit when the doors did not open.

The sheriff’s office is requesting assistance from the public in identifying those involved in these incidents.

“Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Scott Battcher at 775-782-9905 and reference case number 25so33084,” the department stated.
