FBI says school threats in Northern Nevada were a hoax

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has concluded that threats reported at several schools in Northern Nevada on January 21 were a hoax. Investigators are still working to determine where the threats originated.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, officers conducted thorough checks following the reports and did not find any suspicious activity.

“There is no new information at this time,” the sheriff’s office stated.
