City of Fernley issued the following announcement on September 17.
On Saturday, September 25th at the Out of Town Park - Gazebo area the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, Lyon County Human Services and City of Fernley bring to you the first Fernley Community Connections Expo. Get connected to adult and family services, resources, jobs, and family fun! The event starts off with a fun 1-Mile Walk/Run at 8:30 am led by Fernley CrossFit. The Expo opens at 9:00 am through 2:00 pm.

- Explore more than 50 community vendors
- Discover volunteer opportunities, job/career resources
- Boys & Girls Club Day for Kids with Free BBQ lunch for kids/families, games, and bounce house
- COVID-19 vaccinations by Immunize NV
- Enjoy a tasty treat from Wildwest Burgers
