City of Fernley recently issued the following announcement.
Fernley is opening up the Christmas season on Saturday, December 4th with a bunch of family fun activities from morning to evening. The events begin with a Santa Run presented by the Fernley Soroptimist Group at 8:00 AM starting and ending at the Fire Station on Main Street.
The run is followed by Rotary’s Grinch Breakfast Feast from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Fire Station on Main Street. The cost is only $5/person which gets you a Grinch Breakfast, a raffle ticket and picture with Santa.
The Fernley Christmas Parade begins at 4:00 pm at West Street on Main and turns onto Silver Lace Blvd to stop at City Hall. Please join us for a fun, magical hometown evening on Main Street.
We end our evening at City Hall. The City of Fernley Christmas Tree Lighting is at 5:00 pm in front of City Hall with the Fernley High School Choir. Inside City Hall take a Picture with Mr. & Mrs. Claus and stop by and have Cocoa with a Cop.
