City of Fernley Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Community Meetings

Meeting 07

City of Fernley recently issued the following announcement.

This community-level Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy will focus on developing specific actionable community and economic development projects and programs for businesses and property owners located along the City's existing Main Street corridor. The City of Fernley is inviting business owners and property owners located within the City's existing Main Street corridor to attend a series of business owner and property owner community meetings. The purpose of these meetings will be to discuss business and property owner needs in order to inform the development of specific programs and projects to support continued community and economic development within the Main Street corridor. These community meetings will be informal and an opportunity to share your concerns and ideas with facilitators with the University Center for Economic Development.

Two separate business owner community meetings and two separate property owner community meetings have been set up to accommodate individual schedules. If you are a business owner or a property owner located within the City's existing Main Street corridor, you only need to attend one of these community meetings as the agenda for each meeting will be the same.

Business Owner Community Meeting No. 1, Friday, March 11, 2022; 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Business Owner Community Meeting No. 2, Saturday, March 12, 2022; 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Property Owner Community Meeting No. 1, Friday, March 18, 2022; 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Property Owner Community Meeting No. 2, Saturday, March 19, 2022; 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

All four meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers at City of Fernley City Hall. If you plan to attend one of these meetings, please RSVP with Frederick Steinmann by email, fred@unr.edu, or phone, 775-784-1655, by Friday, March 4, 2022 5:00 pm. If you have any questions about these meetings or this economic development planning process, please contract Fredrick Steinmann, Assistant Research Professor.
