On August 24th, US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg visited the City of Fernley to speak to the transformative benefits to our transportation infrastructure the RAISE grant will bring to Fernley, northern Nevada, and the nation. The US Department of Transportation has awarded the city of Fernley a $25 million grant for the completion of the Nevada Pacific Parkway project. The project includes the construction of the roadway and bridge which will connect Interstate-80 to US Highway 50.
We were honored to hear from Nelson Araugo, Infrastructure Advisor to the Nevada Governor, Carlos Monje, the Under Secretary of Transportation for Policy for the United States, and Pete Buttigieg Secretary of Transportation. Thank you for visiting our great city and we look forward to breaking ground!
