LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) crews will implement lane restrictions on I-15 in the Las Vegas Resort Corridor, beginning this week. The lane restrictions are necessary to begin construction of a new half-interchange on the south side of the Harmon Ave bridge over I-15. That half interchange will open to drivers before the beginning of Phase 3 of the I-15/Tropicana Design Build project, allowing for better ingress and egress to the Las Vegas Strip both during and after construction on Tropicana Ave.
Short-term:
Southbound I-15 – Flamingo to Harmon; 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
March 15 & 23: Three lanes open
Long-term:
Northbound I-15 – Tropicana to Flamingo; 24/7
March 20-April 20: Four lanes open
Diverging Diamond Interchange:
Crews will close east- and westbound Tropicana Ave between Dean Martin Dr and NY-NY the morning of Tuesday, March 21 from 12:00-5:00 a.m. to make enhancements to signage, signals, and striping in the temporary diverging diamond interchange.
Construction of the I-15/Tropicana project began in May 2022 and is scheduled to last into early 2025. You can find more information on the project, including progress photos and detailed schedule descriptions on the project’s website www.i15trop.com or by downloading the dedicated “I-15 Trop” app.
