4.6% of Elko County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Elko County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,283 people out of the 53,420 living in Elko County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Elko County has increased compared to the 4.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Elko County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 7.1%.

Of the 26,455 people who had a job during that time, 37 were employed in the Armed Forces and 26,418 belonged to the civilian labor force.
