In Storey County, six inmates were incarcerated in the fourth quarter of 2023, unchanged from the quarter before, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

Bret Charles Minogue, a 33-year-old, was the youngest inmate sentenced in Storey County in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Perry J. Duncan was the oldest at 70-years-old.

Every year, at least 38,000 people are booked into Nevada's local jails.

Nevada has an incarceration rate of 713 per 100,000 people, which means it incarcerates a higher percentage of its population than any other democracy in the world.
