CRT/CCR Mathematics Test: How many Carson City School District students failed during 2021-22 school year?

Of the 3,961 students who took part in the College and Career Readiness Assessment (CCR)/Criterion Referenced Test (CRT), 68.5% did not meet the testing standard, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Carson City School District roughly covers schools within Carson City County and has a main office in Carson City.

The number of Carson City School District students who failed their Mathematics assessments fell by 6.7% the previous school year.

There were 68.5% of students who did not meet the required standards of the Mathematics portion of the CRT/CCR, compared to the 31.5% who did.

Of those who failed, most of them scored in the lowest proficiency level.

In the 2021-22 school year, the proficiency level of Carson City School District stood at 31.5%, surpassing the state's average of 28.5%.

Mineral County School District students demonstrated the worst results with 86.6% of learners struggling with their exams.

The Nevada Criterion Referenced Test is given to students between Grades 3 and 8. It measures whether students students are on track for college and ready for their careers once they've graduated.

The College and Career Readiness Test is given to students in Grade 11 to determine if they are ready for the higher standards and difficulties of college and post-secondary learning. Scores on the CCR don't influence if a student graduates on time.

Nevada has struggled with an achievement gap in testing among students of diverse ethnicities. Reading scores for 4th and 8th graders revealed that Black and Hispanic students often score lower than White students.

In comparison to the national average of 90%, Nevada has the fortieth-largest educational system in the country, with 94% of all K–12 students receiving their education in public institutions.
