How many students were enrolled in Carson City schools for the 2022-23 school year?

There were 7,654 students enrolled in Carson City schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.1% less than the previous year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.9% of them were boys, and 49% were girls.

The most common ethnicity among Carson City students was white, which represented 45.1% of the student body. The second most common ethnicity in the county was Hispanic (44.9%).

Carson High School stood out with the highest enrollment among Carson City in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 2,289 students.

Enrollment in Nevada schools has dropped in recent years, falling nearly 2% in the last four years.

Nevada has roughly one teacher for every 22 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
