Douglas High School had the highest enrollment among Douglas County schools, welcoming 1,584 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

Of all the students enrolled, 54.9% of them were boys, and 45.1% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 65.8% of Douglas High School's total enrollment.

Among the 14 schools in Douglas County, Carson Valley Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 603 students, while Pau Wa Lu Middle School welcomed 459 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Douglas High School is part of Douglas County School District, which roughly covers schools within Douglas County and has a main office in Minden.

In the previous school year, Douglas High School also had the highest number of students among Douglas County schools.

Despite a significant drop in chronic absenteeism, Nevada’s numbers are still high. In the 2023-24 school year, the state reported that over a quarter of students were chronically absent from classes, above the 18.8% rate registered in the 2018-19 school year.
