Clark County has taken a major step in prioritizing language access and inclusion by launching new social media pages entirely dedicated to providing information in Spanish.
The Spanish social media pages will provide a direct line of communication between Clark County and our Spanish-speaking residents. This valuable two-way dialogue offers a direct conduit for feedback and engagement, – enabling the County to better serve our community.
“With this move, we hope to ensure that all of our residents are better equipped with the latest information about our services and programs – and to deepen engagement with our community,” said Clark County Commission Chairman Jim Gibson. “This is a great opportunity to bridge communication barriers often faced by those who speak Spanish as their primary language and to help ensure that everyone has access to the kind of relevant information that matters most to them.”

The state of Nevada has one of the largest Latino populations in the country. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in Clark County alone, 32% of the population are Hispanics.
By launching a Spanish-language presence on social media, the County aims to gain insight into its residents’ needs. The purpose of these social media platforms is to shine a light on the services impacting residents such as affordable housing, child welfare, senior services, and other critical programs and services available to all residents within our community, as well as those services and programs that might matter most to Spanish speakers.
You can find our Spanish social platforms on Facebook and Twitter.
