Did Storey County School District students succeed or flounder in their 2021-22 school year Science CRT tests?

Of the 62 students who took part in the Criterion Referenced Test (CRT), 30.6% met the testing standard while 9.7% exceeded expectations, according to the Nevada Accountability Portal.

The number of Storey County School District students who succeeded fell by 11.1% from the previous school year.

Storey County School District's proficiency level in the 2021-22 school year was 40.3%, 13.1% more than the state's average of 27.2%.

The total enrollment of the Storey County School District was 433 students in the 2021-22 school year, 3.3% less than the year before.

Across the state, Washoe County School District had the highest growth in enrollment (1.3%), while Carson City School District had the lowest (0.5%).

The Nevada College and Career Readiness assessment is given to Grade 11 students. It doesn't determine if they can graduate or not, but can be submitted on college applications.

In comparison to the national average of 90%, Nevada has the fortieth-largest educational system in the country, with 94% of all K–12 students receiving their education in public institutions.

Nevada has struggled with an achievement gap in testing among students of diverse ethnicities. Reading scores for 4th and 8th graders revealed that Black and Hispanic students often score lower than White students.
